Optima Site Solution currently require an experiences Quantity Surveyor in Berkshire, Surrey and Hampshire area must have a background in residential projects
What the role involves
Responsibilities for the successful Quantity Surveyor will vary depending on the nature and stage of the project being worked on, but can include:
Preparing tender documents, including bills of quantities from the architectural drawings.
Undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work
Preparing and analysing costings for tenders.
Allocating work to subcontractors.
Visiting our sites when required
Analysis of progress and writing detailed monthly reports.
Valuing completed work and arranging payments.
Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations.
What we are looking for
This is a very fast paced role and not static, hence it requires someone who can take ownership of events, think on their feet, devise a plan of action and implement effective solutions.
The ideal candidate will have the gravitas to communicate with senior management whilst also being able to advice on individual site-based projects.
To be successful in this role you will need to be a team player and work closely with the Commercial Manager. You will have the ability to hold your ground and offer reasoned advice in a fast-paced environment. Ideally the Quantity Surveyor applicant would have formal qualifications in Quantity Surveying with work history as a Quantity Surveyor for a building contractor.
